Mrs. Nettie Alice BROWN, wife of Frank BROWN, died a 4:00 a.m. Sunday
at her home in Webber Twp., Jefferson County. Her age was 63y4m11d.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Ten Post Oak Church,
with the Rev. Bird GREEN officiating and burial will be in Thompson Cemetery
at Wayne City. At 3:00 p.m. today the body was taken from Combs Chapel in
Wayne City to the home of a sister, Haru GARRISON, in Keenes, where friends
may call until the funeral hour.
Mrs. BROWN was born December 9, 1888 in Hickory Hill Twp., Wayne County,
the daughter of John and Roxana (TYLER) Swan. On October 10, 1910 she was
married to Frank BROWN, who survives. She was a member of the Ten Post Oak
Church north of Keenes.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Everett JOHNSON
of Bluford; one brother, Clyde SWAN of Centralia; four sisters, Ruth CRUMBACKER,
Edith CRASK and Haru GARRISON, all of Keenes and Fern BRADDY of Rochelle, IL; and
3 grandchildren.
