Robert Eubanks Robert “Bob” Eubanks, 70, of Opdyke died 10:40 p.m. June 22, 2002, at Marion Veterans Administration Hospital in Marion. He was employed as a supervisor for A.O. Smith in Granite City until his retirement. Mr. Eubanks was born April 5, 1932, in Mt. Vernon to Ray and Alene (McCammot) Eubanks. He married Glenda Ruth (Hester) Eubanks Dec. 4, 1954 in Mt. Vernon.; she survives. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Abner Cemetery in Nason. Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery on Wednesday. The Rev. Everett Lemay will officiate. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hughey Funeral Home. In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, William Robert Eubanks of Collinsville; one daughter, Angela Leigh Czapiewski of Carbondale; two grandchildren, Tiffany and Anthony Click, both of Collinsville; a sister, Donna Jennings and husband Merle of Mt. Vernon; also several nieces and nephews. Mr. Eubanks was a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Melvin Eubanks.
