James Ray Kline of 117 North Sixth street, a line foreman
with the Illinois Power Co until retirement in 1958, died
at 8:30 p.m. Saturday in Good Samaritan Hospital. He was
66 years, two months, and 25 days old.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Myers
Chapel with the Rev. Everett Lemay officiating. Burial will
be in Oakland Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel where friends may
call at any time.
Mr. Kline was born Oct 1, 1893, at Ashland, Ill, the son of
Joseph and Lydia (Dannenberg) Kline. On Nov 24, 1914, in
Jacksonville, Ill, he was married to Ada Leona Hacker, who survivies.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. William H. Sammons of
this city; three brothers, Claude Kline of Ashland, Ill, Orville Kline
of Ashland, Ill, and Dave Kline of Barry, Ill; three sisters, Mrs.
Stella Brasel of Quincy, Mrs. Katherine Brenicke, and Mrs. Emmaline Gorman,
both of California; and two grandsons.
