Chester Arthur Knauss

Chester Arthur Knauss, 68 of Route 1, Texico, died at 11:05 p.m. Monday
at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was a retired farmer.

He was born July 7, 1908, the son of Fred and Maggie (Whitson) Knauss.

On Sept. 1, 1931 he married Mabel Waite at Shelbyville. She survives.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Osborn funeral
home, Dix, with the Rev. Dwight Rogers of Xenia. Burial will be in
Union Chapel Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Wednesday.

In addition to his wife Mabel, Mr. Knauss is survived by one son, John
of Bluford; one daughter, Phyllis Soger of Texico; seven grandchildren,
and his mother, Maggie Knauss of Bluford.

Mr. Knauss was preceded in death by his father and one son, Charles..
