Rev. Paul A. LOWERY, passed away Thursday morning, June 18, 1998. 
He was born on March 27, 1917. His parents were H.V. "Cash" Lowery 
and Elizabeth "Bessie" Wilkerson Lowery. He married Dorothy Mamer on 
September 16, 1939. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Lowery, nine children; 
Leona Guern of Centralia Illinois and her husband John, Richard P. Lowery of 
Bluford Illinois and his wife, Diane, Judy Young of Bluford, Illinois, Jane Gentry 
of Dix, Illinois and her husband Robert, Kaye Poston of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and 
her husband Larry, Sharon Claar of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and her husband Eddie, 
David Lowery of Centralia, Illinois and his wife Sherri, Dennis Lowery of 
Bluford, Illinois and Paulette Herron of Harrisburg, Illinois and her 
husband, Mike. Also 29 grandchildren and 26 greatchildren. He was 
preceded in death by one son in law, Ernie Young, one grandchild, Richie 
Claar, and one great-grandchild, Jennifer Young. 

Rev. Lowery was a Baptist Minister since 1955. He pastored several 
churches. He was retired from the Illinois Central Railroad. Funeral 
services were held on June 20, 1998 at the Hughey Funeral Home with burial 
at the East Hickory Hill Cemetery in Bluford, Illinois. He was a 
wonderful, husband, father, grandfather and will be dearly missed by all.
