Mrs. Sarilda RICHARDS of Bonnie died at 4:05 a.m. today at
the Lowry Nursing Home at the age of 89y4m20d. Funeral
services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Bonnie
Baptist Church of Which she was a member, with the Rev.
John KERN and the Rev. Elmer TICE officiating. Burial will
be in Hams Grove Cemetery. The body will lie in state at
the Ina Funeral Home where friends may call after 4:00 p.m.
Friday.
Mrs. RICHARDS was born September 4, 1875 in Warren County,
Kentucky, the daughter of William and Elizabeth (BLANKENSHIP) BUMPUS.
On March 20, 1900, she was married to Charles M. RICHARDS, who preceded
her in death on July 22, 1953. She was also preceded in death by 12
brothers and sisters and one great-grandchild.
Survivors include 3 sons, Delbert and Henry RICHARDS, both of Mt. Vernon;
and Allen RICHARDS of Bonnie; 2 daughters, Mrs. Florence HUTCHISON of
Huntingtonburg, Ind., and Mrs. Lela ARNOLD of Bonnie; 12 grandchildren;
and 14 great-grandchildren.
