Kenneth Tinsley Kenneth Tinsley, 72, of rural Mt. Vernon, died 6:18 a.m. May 13, 2005. He was a retired barber. Born Feb. 17, 1933, in Mt. Vernon, he was a son of William "Earl" and Alta Mae (Correll) Tinsley. He married Ruby Leneave on June 3, 1955, in the home of the Rev. Roy Beal. Mrs. Tinsley survives. Services were 11 a.m. Monday at Osborn Funeral Home in Dix with the Rev. Alan Smith officiating. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery. Graveside military rites were conducted by American Legion Post 141 of Mt. Vernon. Mr. Tinsley attended Riley Grade School and barber college in Decatur. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member and deacon at New Hope "Webb" Baptist Church. He was also a member of the VFW, Amvets, American Legion, the Dix Ruritan Club. He also did volunteer work for the Mt. Vernon Township Supervisor's Office and civic organizations. Memorials may be made to the New Hope "Webb" Church and will be received at the funeral home at any time. In addition to his wife of Mt. Vernon, survivors include his mother of Mt.
