Mrs. Clemmie Mae TOLLEY, 79, of 1204 S. 26th St., died at 9:40 p.m.
Saturday at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born in Franklin County
April 16, 1891, the daughter of Green and Etta (LEVALL) WILLIAMS.
Mrs. TOLLEY was married to Vince TOLLEY, who preceded her in death in
1943. She was a member of the Calvery Apostolic Church.
Surviving are five sons, Olin, Alson, Charles, Elbert, and Delbert TOLLEY,
all of Mt. Vernon; four daughters, Mrs. Vernita BETHEL of Mt. Vernon,
Mrs. Lucille ELDER and Mrs. Ruth BOWLING, both of St. Louis, and Mrs. Violet CHAPMAN
of South Elgin; three brothers, George WILLIAMS of Centralia, Virgil WILLIAMS
of Elgin and Carl WILLIAMS of Mt. Vernon; four sisters, Mrs. Mildred MORGAN,
Mrs. Gertrude CHAPMAN, Mrs. Leona SINKA and Mrs. Lula CHAPMAN, all of Mt. Vernon,
24 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Myers Chapel with the
Rev. E. J. McCLINTOCK officiating. Burial will be in the West Salem Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
