In The Name Of God Amen I Basil M. Taylor of the town of Trenton County
of Gigson and State of Tennessee
being at the time of execution of this instrument in the enjoyment of good
health and of sound mind do make and
publish this my last will and testament hereby revolking and declairing
null nad void all other wills or codicills thents
which I may have hereof on made.
FIRST: I direct that my body be decently interred and that my executor
hereinafter named shall out of the money
I may have on hand at the time of my death or the first money that may
come into their hands pay the epenses of
my burial also all the other just debts that I may owe at the time of my
death and then to cause to be erected over
my rave a suitable marble slab or monument the cost of which not to exceed
the sum of ($50.00) fifty dollars

SECOND: I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Dicy Taylor the su of
five thousand dollars and I direct my
ececutors herein below named, to pay her said sum of $5000.00 out of the
first money that may come to their
hands after my debts and funeral expenses and the expense of said monument
are paid.
THIRD: I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Katrina Taylor to
her and her heirs and assigns forever fee
simple the fowllowing discribed tracts of land to wit: Situate lying and
being in civil district No 7 Gibson County
State of Tennessee one tracther ownas the Ezell tract and boundedNorth
by the land of T. L. taylor heirs, East
by land of MCutchen & others South by land of Jno, Taylor and west
by the Underwood land containing about
one hundred and sixty five acres. Also one tract known as the Billy Williams
tract Bounded Basil x M. Taylor(SEAL}
his mark North by Boyd's land, South by Goodlor's land East by Mrs Sewell
containing one hundred acres more or
less said two tracts of land together an vaulued at the sum of five thousand
($5000.00) dollars and she is to be
charged with said sum of (5000.00) on the final settlement of my estate.
FOURTH: I give and bequeath to my daughter Annie Eliza Taylor to her
and heirs asigned in fee simple following
discribed tract of land to wit : situate lying & being in civil district
No 1 Gibson County Tennessee known as the
old home place bounded north by Sappington's land, south by land of Te
L9 Taylor heors East by lands of S. J.
Taylor & others & West by lands of Wade and others containing one
hundred and forty five acres more or less-
said tract of land is vaulued at the sum of five thousand ($5000.00) dollars
and my said daughter Annie Eliza
taylor is to be charged with said Basil x M. Taylor{SEAL} his mark Sum
of Five thousand ($5000.00) dollars
in the final settlement of my estate.
FIFTH: I direct that my executors share proceed and collect up all the
notis accounts and debts otherwise due
me from persons living ion Tennessee or elswhere exception the state of
Illinois and procede to sale all my property
of a personal or mixed character thst I may own at the time of my death
except that which I may own in the State
of Illinois on a credit of not less then six months and also to sell all
real estate which I may own not otherwise
disposed of except my land and rteal estate in the State of Illinois on
a credit of not less then one year.
SIXTH: I dirwect that my executors shall proceed and collct all the
notes accounts & debts due me on contracts
or otherwise from persons living in the state of Illinois fordose mortages
cancel contracts in

my favor in said State of Illionois in such cases in which the money
due n said contracts or under said mortgages
is not paid when due and sell all the property I may own in said Ststae
at time of my death of a personal or mixed
character on a credit of not less then six months and my executors are
further directed to proceed and sellable my
land and real estate that I may own at the time of my death in said State
of Illinoisat private sales or long credit
taking from purchaces notis drawing interest from date of such sales at
note of 10% per annuties until paid provided
said note of interest be lawful at the time such transactions may take
place, and retaining a lein on said land to secure
payment of purchase money. Said lands in Illinois to be divided and cut
up into tracts to suit purchaces. It is my
disire that said lands in said

State of Illinois be not forced on the market and to that end my executors
are allowed ten (10) years in which to sell
said land from the time of their qualification as such executors and if
at the expiration of said ten years there should
remain undisposed of any said land in Illinois then the residue thereof
will be divided amount my children and
representations of children as .
SEVENTH: I direct that my executors shall make full and perfect ettlements
with the proper court or courts or
tribunals at intervals of every two years from date of their qualification
as such executors and after being credited
by all proper disbursments made under the provisions of this will and a
proper allowance for thier services they
will pay ovr to my heirs the money on hand at time of such settlement as
herinaf ter provided

EIGHTH: I have advanced to my daughter Sarah F. Bennett dec'd in her
lifetime nd to her husband Jos. F.
Bennett for the use of the children in all the sum of forty eight hundred
($4800.00) dollars and to my son
William Taylor the sum of fifty two hundred and forty ($5240.00) dollars.
And to my son John S. Taylor
the sum of fifty two hundred and seventy ($5270.00) dollars and to my son
Robert Z. Taylor the sum of
forty five hundred and sevety fve ($4575.00) dollars and to my son Silas
Jasper Taylor the sum of five
thousand ($%000.00) dollars, and to my son Daniel C. Taylor the sum of
forty six hundred and seventy
five ($4675.00) dollars And to my daughter Elizabeth Katrins Taylor the
sum of five tousand(5000.00)

And to my daughter Annie ELiza
Taylor I have advanced the sum of five thousand ($5000.00) dollars by the
fourth clause of this will above
and to T. L. Taylor my son now decesed in his lifetime the sum of twenty
five hundred ($2500.00) dollars
consisting of a tract of land of one hundred cres of land in civil district
No 7 Gibson County Tennessee Bounded
north by my old home place south by the Ezile place East by Mcultchens
and west by the underwood land,
which intended to give to my son ThomasL. Taylor in his life time and whichhe
died possessed of but I made
no deed for said land to him. It is my desire and will that said land be
held enjoyed and owned in the same
way and manner as they would have done if I had made a deed to said Thomas
L. Taylor to said land in fee

NINTH: I further direct that my executors ast the end of two years after
their qualifications and at the end
of my two yearsthereaf ter until my entire estate is wound up & settled
shall after charging each one of my
children with the amounts they have already recieved as above set forth
and any other money or property
that I may hereafter give them and after first making them equal except~the
children of Thomas L. Taylor
dec'd. and in including recieve if living and to my son William Basil x
M. Taylor(SEAL} his mark Taylor
one share and to my on Jno S. Taylor one share (as hereinafter directed)
and to my son Robt Z Taylor
one share and to my son Silas Jasper Taylor one share and to my son Daniel
C. Taylor one share and to
my daughter Elizabeth Katrina Taylor one share and to my daughter Annie
Eliza Taylor one share and to
the children of my son Thomas L. Taylor together one third of one share.
The reason I have bequeathed
to my grandchildren the children of Thomas L. Taylor Dec'ed only one third
of one child's part of my estate
is that there are only two of them to represent their father while there
are eight of the children of Sarah F.

TENTH: My executors are further directed to invest the money that may
be gping to my son Jno S. Taylor
