WILL OF WILLIAM CALVIN OAKLEY
WILL OF WILLIAM CALVIN OAKLEY I, William C. Oakley, of the City of Mt.
Vernon,
in the County of Jefferson, in the State of Illinios, do make and declare
this to be my last will
and testament.
FIRST I direct that my funeral expenses and all my just debts be fully paid.
SECOND I give, devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife, Dianna M. Oakley,
all of
my personal property, the same to be hers absolutely.
THIRD I give, devise and bequeath to my said wife all of my real estate
for and during
her natural life and at her death it is my will that said real estate shall
be equally divided b
etween my children Florence L Oakley and Mary Oakley, the same to be theirs
absolutely,
and if either of said children, Florence L Oakley and Mary Oakley should
die, without issue,
before my death or before the death of their mother, the said Dianna M.Oakley,
then at the
death of the said Dianna M. Oakley it is my will that the survivor of said
children shall have
said real estate absolutely. If either of my said children should die before
my death or before
the death of their mother and leave issue it is my will that the issue
of such child shall have the
same part absolutely that the said child would have been entitled to under
this will had it
survived me before the death of their mother.
FOURTH The above provisions bequests and devises of my said wife shall
be in lieu of her
award under the statute as widow and also in lieu of all other provisions
made by the statute
for a widow in an intestate estate.
FIFTH It is my will that my said wife shall take no family to live with
her in the premises now
occupied by us as a homestead either as tenants or boarders or otherwise
and if she does
then she is to forfeit her right to the use and occupancy of said premises
and my said children
Florence L. Oakley and Mary Oakley are to have the fee simple title of
said premises, equally
have and have alike, deed the right to immediate possession, thereof the

this will in case of the death of said Dianna M Oakley In witness whereof
I, William C. Oakley,
have hereunto set my hand the 14th day of July, A. D., 1900. William C.
